Downloading music collection PC is fairly simple. Everything you need to do is drag and drop songs from your PC to a memory card, which is then installed on the phone. All the phones connect to PC USB cable. However, only Sprint / Nextel and Amp'd phones appear as a drive concept on which you drag and drop music files.
Not all that play on your PC, is inevitably on the phones. Sprint phones to play MP3 and AAC (the default format for Apple's iTunesSoftware and Music Store), but not music purchased from other music stores also PC downloads from the Sprint service, oddly enough. With Amp'd You can play MP3 and WMA, but not songs downloaded from online music stores. Amp'd Live does not allow to order songs, ringtones and other content from your PC, and these are then automatically pushed to you phone.
Verizon is the "Apple unfriendly". It's cell phone to play MP3 or AAC is the only format of iPod owners use only WMA's. Theonly good news is that Verizon phones will play copy-protected WMA songs bought) from other online stores (which of course rules from Apple's iTunes content. I hope this helps you in terms of mobile phone, which you own or are considering buying. Below is a place that I have found helpful in this process. Check it out.
